Catherine loved the hydrangea feature fabric
Students make beautiful quilts and when I found this post from ten years ago, I thought you would enjoy Catherine’s quilt based around her feature fabric.
She bought enough of the hydrangea fabric to at least use it in the border of her quilt.
This is one of the methods I teach beginners for choosing quilt fabrics.
There’s a free course available so that you can learn how Catherine did it.

Catherine (student) came to Tea Gardens workshops all last year, and yesterday for the first time this year.
She started her quilt with some richly coloured hydrangea fabric as the feature fabric and began with a Best of All block for the centre of what was to be a medallion quilt for her bed.
Well done, Catherine!
