Tiny florals

Prints like this very small floral pattern can be used as a companion to larger prints. A (not hard and fast) rule of thumb is the smaller the quilt, the smaller the print.

Medium sized prints

These are the most prevalent designs you will see in quilts, as they are easy to use.

Stripes

Strong contrast such as black and white even stripes add impact to quilts, if used sparingly.

Geometric patterns

Masculine, strong, vibrating. All these words describe quilts with geometric prints in them.

Large floral prints

Whether traditional flowers or stylised designs, large flower prints make bold statements.
